A shopping list that makes sense in your own kitchen may be less clear to someone standing in a store aisle. Words such as large, regular and a couple can describe different products or quantities. A more precise list helps ARC understand the request before a run is planned.
Describe the product and the unit
Include the brand or product name when it matters, along with size, variety and quantity. Two packages is different from two individual items, especially when a retailer sells several pack sizes. For a product that is difficult to identify, a public product link or a clear photo of its label can help.
Keep the list organized by store if more than one location is involved. Do not rely on a product's position in an old aisle layout; the identifying details are more useful than a remembered shelf location.
Separate preferences from requirements
State which details must match and where you are open to discussing an alternative. If a particular item is essential, say so before the run. ARC's published FAQ says replacements are not made without your approval, so a preference note does not remove the need to confirm an actual substitution.
Avoid putting private medical or payment information into an ordinary shopping message. Product identification usually does not require the reason you need the item.
Review the list as one current version
Before sending, check quantities, duplicate entries and any items you already have. If a household shares the list, choose one person to submit the final version and answer questions during shopping.
When you make a change, identify the item being replaced or removed rather than sending an unexplained additional list. Confirm whether the change can still be accommodated. A clear list supports the planning conversation, but store stock, service availability and the final item total still need confirmation. Review ARC's current service information before treating any estimate as a completed booking.
Review ARC’s current rates and service details, then contact ARC to discuss the scope and timing of your request.
