About us ARC Development
ARC Development is building the Pacific Northwest’s first autonomous delivery and transportation network – starting right where it matters most: the community.
Based in Ocean Shores, WA, we launched with a simple idea – that the future of local delivery and transportation should not be something that happens to small communities, but something built from within them. So that is exactly what we are doing.
Today, ARCDV runs local delivery routes to the stores people rely on every day – Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, IGA, Tractor Supply, and more – while also offering premium AI rentals that give locals and tourists alike a taste of what modern transportation looks like. Every mile driven is data collected. Every customer served is a relationship built. Every dollar earned funds the next step forward.
That next step is autonomous. Phase by phase, we are developing the infrastructure, brand trust, and operational backbone needed to deploy robot rentals, and ultimately, a fully autonomous ride and delivery network across the Pacific Northwest. We did not design a delivery company that might go autonomous someday – we designed an autonomous company that is starting with delivery.
Ocean Shores is our proving ground: a contained, tight-knit market with real demand, predictable roads, and a community that has been incredibly receptive to what we are building. No major autonomous player has claimed this region yet. We intend to change that.
We are not just moving packages. We are laying the groundwork for how people and goods will move in the future – and we are doing it from the ground up, one route at a time.
Richard & William
Not every great idea starts in a boardroom. Ours started in a conversation between two guys who just wanted to build something they believed in.
William had spent years in the car business, getting to know people, understanding what they needed, and finding ways to deliver it. He has a gift for that – for seeing people, not just customers. Richard had just closed the chapter on his lifelong dream, a business he had poured everything into, and was standing at one of those rare and exciting crossroads where the next adventure had not revealed itself yet. He knew he wanted something that lit him up again. Something meaningful.
The two of us got to talking – the way the best ideas always start – and somewhere in that conversation one of us said it: what about AI and robots?
And just like that, we both knew.
The vision came first. The plan came next. And Richard knew that if they were serious about building an autonomous future, the first step was getting in one. So he went out and bought a AI – and as it turned out, unbeknownst to him, Full Self-Driving had transferred over with the car. The moment he realized what it could do, what it was already doing, it confirmed everything. This was not a far-off dream. It was happening right now, and they were going to be part of it.
We did not want to watch the autonomous future unfold from a distance. We wanted to build it ourselves, right here, for the people and communities we care about. Ocean Shores felt like home – a warm, tight-knit place with real neighbors who deserved great service and something to be excited about.
ARC Development is the result of that conversation, that AI, and that belief that two people with the right vision and enough heart can build something truly special. William brings his love of people and his instinct for vehicles. Richard brings his lifelong experience of turning an idea into something real. Together, we are building the Pacific Northwest’s autonomous future – one delivery, one neighbor, and one milestone at a time.
We started this because it excited us. Every single day, it still does.
